Now that I have a blog, here's a little something from this past October.
The Rolling Stones at Zilker Park in Austin, TX 2006 is THE BEST live show I've ever seen in my 33 years of life. I paid for reserved bleacher seating and took my dad. It was worth every damn penny.
The stage setup was as tall as a five story building. People were standing on several of the different levels during the concert. Midway through their set, while playing "Under My Thumb", the center part of the of the stage moved forward into the crowd. The platform was its own self contained stage, on wheels. That thing must've went 45 yards deep into the crowd. They played two more songs while they were out there. During the final song, Jagger ran at least 100 yards, first down the center of the crowd (where the platform was before) , then out to the right-side of the stage, and then all the hell the way over to the left side. The fireworks show, with flame throwers, at the end even out did the two Kiss concerts I've seen. It was all being filmed for a future DVD release.
